The Role:

We are looking for a multi-skilled Workshop Technician to join our Service team in the UK. Working as part of the Service team you will be supporting the service and refurbishment of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, and all associated components. City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in either a mechanical or electrical discipline is preferred. For Electrically biased engineers a AM2 and/or a qualification up to C&G 2391 Test & Inspect would be highly advantageous.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

• Analytical survey of control equipment, both electrical and physical.

• Isolate, dismantle and inspect pumping equipment, including moving parts and lubricants.

• Examine and report any defects.

• Supply details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement.

• Work as part of a team where health and safety demands.

• Lifting of pumping equipment using the appropriate tools supplied by Xylem Water Solution UK Ltd.

• Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

• Guide and support junior team members; may assist in their formal training

• HSE is paramount and safety guidelines will always need to be followed.
