Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk in Avondale, Missouri. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom provider industry. The Accounting Clerk will be primarily responsible for handling tasks such as processing payments, maintaining financial records, and preparing reports. This role also involves utilizing software like QuickBooks and skills like Accounts Payable (AP).

Responsibilities:

• Process payments and maintain accurate financial records

• Use QuickBooks to pull reports for presentation to the Board

• Handle data entry tasks and create agendas for city council

• Write checks and make deposits as necessary

• Take minutes during monthly meetings

• Handle utility bill payments and other related tasks

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions for delinquent payments

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in using accounting software, specifically QuickBooks

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures

• Excellent mathematical skills and precision in handling and recording financial data

• Familiarity with general financial and accounting principles

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
