Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper functioning of our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial maintenance, a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment components.

Responsibilities

• Test connections, trace circuits, and ensure the compatibility and safety of components using ammeters, multimeters, and other equipment.

• Maintain and repair wiring, fuses, contactors, relays, and other components for manufacturing equipment.

• Replace circuit breakers, fuses, switches, relays, electrical and electronic components, and wire.

• Use hand tools such as conduit benders, screwdrivers, pliers, knives, hacksaws, and wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills, saws, and knockout equipment.

• Periodically inspect all equipment to ensure it is operating properly and address problems before breakdowns occur.

• Respond to facility emergencies and equipment breakdowns.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures using electrical and mechanical knowledge.

• Consult with Electronic Technicians and Electrical Engineers as needed.

• Perform lock-out procedures on equipment as needed.

• Adjust and change existing PLC programs at work centers using a portable PC.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance.

• Experience with 480v systems.

• Strong blueprint reading skills.

• Experience with hydraulics or pneumatics.

• Ability to fabricate, operate bridge port lathes, and manual machines to make parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance repair.

• Knowledge of PLC control and troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in welding and industrial maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Experience with motors and conveyor systems.

Work Environment

We have three openings available: one on 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) and two on 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 2:00 am). Employees typically work a 50-hour work week, with every other weekend off. The 2nd shift includes a $1.50 shift premium. The work environment is air-conditioned, quiet, clean, and well-lit. Uniforms are not required, but can be ordered through Cintas if desired.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $68000.00/yr.
