Regional Operations and Merchandising Manager

Job Description: The Regional Operations and Merchandising Manager will be responsible for overseeing overall operations, store profitability & shrink, and team leadership for a growing convenience store company. This position will drive store merchandise sales through strategic development of merchandising plans, creation of effective operational systems, and leveraging vendor relationships to achieve financial objectives. This position would report directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Duties & Job Responsibilities -Oversee day-to-day store operations. This role is required to have an in-store presence including weekend and evening hours. -Lead, mentor, and support a team of district managers to ensure that stores achieve operational excellence while delivering industry leading customer service.
-Conduct regular team meetings with direct reports to set goals, discuss priorities, and review performance. -Implement a structured staff training and professional development plan. Identify and develop employees to fill key roles within the organization as they become available. -Develop key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate store and team performance. -Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the shopping experience. -Champion the companys customer loyalty program. Increase enrollment and transaction totals through Quicklees loyalty rewards. -Develop and manage store budgets. Work with our accounting team to ensure financial targets are met and exceeded. -Analyze market trends, assess supplier performance, and evaluate the impact of external factors on the procurement of products. -Implement vendor management, compliance programs, and in-store pricing procedures. -Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products. -Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, favorable terms, and sustainable inventory. -Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology related to the convenience store industry. -Work collaboratively with the Facilities Manager to ensure all locations are well-maintained and capital improvements are forecasted. -Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency procedures. -Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications -Bachelors degree or higher in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, logistics, or food and beverage. -8+ years of experience in retail management, preferably in the convenience store industry. -5+ years of experience managing a staff towards performance objectives. -Knowledge and experience of forecasting, supply chain, logistics, vendor management, and contract negotiations. -Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. -Proven track record of fostering a collaborative high-performing work environment. -Data-based approach to decision making.
-Ability to act with autonomy to create and follow through with prioritized initiatives. -Drives results supported by established metrics to monitor, track, and report deliverables. -Advanced skills in MS Excel and retail management software.

Additional Information -The position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), and paid leave.
-This is an in-person position in Avon, NY that requires travel in Western, NY -Salary range - $85,000 - $105,000, Commensurate with experience.
