Job Description

The Wireless Network Engineer will be joining a team focused on special projects and preventive maintenance for wireless services being provided by the employer to enterprise-level customers. The Engineer will be supporting Ruckus Access Point hardware, Brocade, and Cisco switches, as well as Meraki devices. Exposure to Network Security devices like Fortinet or Cisco ASAs would be helpful as well.

Skills and Requirements

-4-5+ years experience with Wireless (Wifi) Networking Engineering

-Strong skills in Layer 2 and Layer 3 of the OSI model

--> Data and Network layer

-Experience with Ruckus Wifi products (Wireless Access Points + WiFi Controllers)

-Experience with Meraki APs and Controllers

-Experience with project-based work or preventative/ proactive maintenance

-Packet Capture (Wireshark) -Automation (Python, Bash, etc)

-CCNA or higher

-Experience with network security firewalls like Fortinet or Cisco ASA

This role is WFH, but you must live near one of the cities listed below

Locations:

-Austin, TX

-Cerritos, CA

-Charlotte, NC

-Denver, CO

-Tampa, FL

Pay Rate between $40-65/hr (based on location and experience) null
