Chemours is seeking an US Railcar Coordinator to join our growing Titanium Technologies North American Supply Chain team. This position will report directly to the TT North American Supply Chain Manager .

Titanium Technologies is seeking an experienced logistic resource to manage railcar assets and processes to support the business strategies, customers service levels, inventory levels, and capacity requirements. The role will work directly with roles within Logistic, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and Commercial.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leads development and execution of rail logistics plans and strategies in alignment with the business supply chain strategies to provide a logistics competitive advantage.

  • Accountable for determining logistics related gaps to plan and developing/executing improvement plans to meet Supply Chain needs.

  • Monitors the activities of the contract logistics functions for the business to assure needs are being met.

  • Accountable to manage the transportation equipment fleets (asset management) including raw material and finished product railcar fleets.

  • Accountable for the timeliness and accuracy of Global/Regional Supply Chain logistic data to allow for an efficient monthly SOP process cycle.

  • Collaborate with the Global Logistics Procurement team and provide business direction to 3PL Logistics Coordinators.

  • Provide functional logistics, data & rail inventory guidance for resources in the Supply Chain, business, at plant sites and in other regions who are working in these competencies.

  • Collaborates with order fulfillment and other regional logistics resources to optimize end-to-end logistics, data & inventory management and integrate best practices.

  • Monitor and report on logistics compliance, quality, cost, and performance metrics defined by the Supply Chain.

  • Right-size fleet to meet demand (3+ years) for raw materials and finished products.

  • Develop proposals for review and approval to increase (or decrease) fleet

  • Coordinate timing of fleet maintenance activities with plant and third party resources

  • Ensure the balance of the railcar fleet based on customer and production needs

  • Escalate issues related to railcar not being returned or when switches are not made

  • Perform freight reconciliation

  • Perform transit time analysis on all lanes from origin source

  • Business Contact with QTS

The following is required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in developing, executing, and managing rail logistic strategies

  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Analytical or Technical role

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a cross functional setting

  • Solid technical skills in PowerPoint and BW, with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas

The following is preferred for this role:

  • Proficiency with SAP, or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

  • Basic knowledge of appropriate financial, legal, commercial, and logistical guidelines/procedures within Chemours and business unit specific

Pay Range (in local currency):

$81,715.00 - $127,680.00

Annual Bonus Target:

6%
