UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Underwater Acoustics Engineering Scientist Associate in Austin, Texas
Process and/or analyze acoustic data for developing, testing, and evaluating SONAR systems.Develop and implement research grade software and analysis tools in MATLAB and UNIX shell scripting. Software applications may include novel graphic visualizations, statistical analysis methods, or signal processing applications.Travel to remote locations to provide support for data collection and processing efforts at sites and at sea.Preparation and review of analysis presentations and technical reports, and presenting results at internal and external meetings.Support collaborative research efforts with other team members.Assist with data transfer processes and ensure compliance with security requirements.Other related functions as assigned.
