We bring passion and drive to carry out our mission of protecting our states public health and natural resources.TELEWORKThis position offers a work life balance with an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule with a minimum 2-day work in office.YOUR FUTURE TEAMAs part of the executive directors office, you would support management of the agency's day-to-day operations.This position is a member of our External Relations Division.See details about what we do.HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Coordinate the development of web content, ensuring alignment with TCEQ goals and objectives. Participate in maintaining the agency's web information architecture for user-friendly navigation. Collaborate on content strategy, integrating new content while adhering to accessibility and agency standards. Conduct usability research, assessments, and testing of webpages and application interfaces, preparing reports with actionable recommendations. Deliver presentations on usability findings to various levels of staff. Edit web content using plain-language techniques, maintaining completeness and intended meaning. Contribute to the evolution of web standards, guidelines, and training programs for staff education. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE A bachelors degree with a major in journalism, public relations, advertising, communications, English, or a natural resources or science related field , plus three years of full-time experience in writing, scripting, editing, related areas in communications, or in positions involving such activities as journalism, outreach, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials, or performing related activities in a public or private enterprise. OR Four years of full-time experience in writing, scripting, editing, related areas in communications, or in positions involving such activities as journalism, outreach, public relations, advertising, preparation of public information releases and reports, and other news materials, or performing related activities in a public or private enterprise.
