TELEWORK This position offers a work life balance with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. YOUR FUTURE TEAM As part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the states environmental laws. See details about what we do. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience operating, maintaining, repairing, or calibrating environmental monitoring equipment. Experience with air monitoring equipment and chemical analysis instrumentation, (e.g., mass spectrometry, ultraviolet spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, or other analytical instrumentation). Experience developing, reviewing, and presenting projects, presentations, briefings, reports, or quality assurance documents such as standard operating procedures. Experience working in a laboratory setting and/or with analytical equipment. Experience with field work. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Assist with the operations, maintenance, and repairs of air monitoring equipment. Operate computer hardware and software for monitoring and/or analytical operations. Perform mobile air monitoring for emergency response and/or planned events. Perform data reduction, quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, as necessary. Presents reports, briefings, and presentations related to air monitoring to meet management and stakeholder requirements. Assist with responses to agency staff and the public on environmental monitoring activities. Develop documentation and tracking for the purchase and inventory of analytical equipment, standards, and reagents. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE A bachelors degree with a major in engineering, basic science, math, environmental science, or related fields, from an accredited college or university. *One year of full-time experience in the field of environmental control activities may substitute for each year of the required education.
