Description

Amazon is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager with strong technical program management skills and a passion for securing AI applications to ensure our AI applications are designed and built to the highest security standards. Your mission is to secure the AI experiences of hundreds of millions of customers by driving strategic programs that scale AI security across Amazon.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex programs, influence stakeholders, and deliver scalable security solutions in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with Legal, security teams, and engineering teams across Amazon to align AI application security initiatives with long-term business objectives. Your work will focus on developing and executing AI application security strategies, processes, roadmaps, and metrics while ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable solutions to address AI-specific risks and challenges.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies and roadmaps to strengthen AI application security.
Lead efforts to identify and mitigate AI security risks across Amazon and partner teams.
Communicate effectively through both written and verbal formats.
Demonstrate ownership and leadership by coordinating projects across teams, ensuring successful outcomes.
Build strong, lasting relationships with internal and external customers and teams.
Be comfortable with hands-on day-to-day problem solving, implementing effective action plans to meet short term priorities.
Prepare data-driven KPIs for the program and present business reviews to senior management
Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of management, building trust across the organization, and demonstrating discretion with sensitive information.

The AppSec AI team is tasked with empowering the business to create secure, trustworthy AI applications that our customers find delightful to use. We engage closely with the business from the outset of the development process to ensure that security considerations are integrated early and consistently. This collaborative approach positions us as partners with the business, minimizing the need for security trade-offs. Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience with preparing and presenting periodic business reviews to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
Familiar with the LLM application ecosystem

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
