Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Staff Accountant in Austin, Texas. The role involves a variety of accounting functions within the industry, with a focus on improving processes for efficiency and accuracy. You will be a vital part of our team, helping to streamline our financial operations and contribute to our goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the monthly closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, with a specific focus on liability portions of the balance sheet.

• Process around 200 accounts payable transactions monthly, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Handle sales tax entries and payments on a quarterly basis, maintaining compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Implement process improvements for reconciliations, aiming to automate the function and reduce manual tasks.

• Contribute to the improvement of transactional level process flows within the NetSuite environment.

• Assist in implementing best practices for AP reporting structures in saved searches within NetSuite.

• Perform allocations and reclassifications as necessary to maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data extraction and analysis, contributing to the digitization of the close process.

• Provide insight and recommendations for best practices within the transactional level of the NetSuite environment. Requirements • Candidate must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary

• Candidate should have a thorough understanding of General Ledger

• Experience with Journal Entries is essential

• Ability to manage Month End Close processes

• Proficiency in using NetSuite is a requirement

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is needed

• Experience with Sales Tax computations and regulations is essential
