Job Description
We are looking for a Sr Project Manager to oversee multiple projects ensuring proper management towards successful conclusion. This position will be a full-time contract and primarily remote with occasional travel.
What You’ll Do
Oversee multiple projects to ensure proper management towards successful conclusion
Mentor and provide guidance to lower-level Project Managers, recommending training and experience to be gained from project assignments
Manage large enterprise-type projects involving multiple agencies, departments, divisions, and other state or contracted resources
Create and maintain project plans
Ensure users and project team members roles and responsibilities are defined
Create and maintain a team atmosphere and work environment to promote project work productivity
Ensure user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are defined.
Coordinate and monitor activities of all parties involved in the project to ensure the system is completed on time and within budget
Communicate project status to appropriate management and interested parties
Ensure the delivery of a product that meets user requirements
Perform related work as required
What You'll Need
Required:
Thorough knowledge of project cost management, benefit analysis, risk management, funding, and estimation of resources
Thorough knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge
Extensive knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools, and approaches to development and implementation
Familiarity with the business functional area under consideration for automation
Ability to lead, encourage, and influence others to perform
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to supervise and manage human resources
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
