Prime Air is seeking an experienced Supply Chain leader who will be responsible for leading their team's mechanisms and cadence to achieve Prime Air and Global Supply Chain goals.

Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Key job responsibilities

The Prime Air Global Supply Chain leader will be responsible for both executing the day-to-day requirements across the broad supply chain functions of commodity strategy and contracting, demand management, procurement and purchasing, inventory management, and supplier engineering and operations management; and to transform and ensure rate and scale readiness as Prime Air embarks on program deployments and growth while ensuring quality and managing affordability. Key responsibilities also include:

-Managing and leading the teams of supply chain strategy, commodity and contract management, demand planning and procurement, and supplier engineering and operations management.

-Externally interfacing with suppliers of hardware for all aspects of the Prime Air system (Drone System, Ground System, and Software), services (engineering, support, and in-direct), logistics companies, and trade and industry groups.

-Cross functional partnership across Prime Air Leadership, Program and Product, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Test, and Commercial Operations.

-Collaborating across Amazon with leaders and organizations of similar businesses to enable bench-marking and opportunities to invent and simplify.

About the team

The Prime Air Global Supply Chain leader manages and leads supply chain strategy, commodity and contract management, demand planning and procurement, and supplier engineering and operations management.

This team is comprised of both experienced Amazonians and 'newer to Amazon' industry leaders that are passionate about enabling Prime Air's mission of ultra-fast delivery and ensuring that a robust and competitive supply chain is developed.

The team is located both in Seattle, WA and Austin, TX and interfaces with Prime Air in both locations along with our operational sites in the US and Europe. Prime Air's suppliers are located in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

7+ years of experience in Supply Chain competencies of contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations

7+ years of team management experience

Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Experience owning supply chain strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing a portfolio of improvement projects

Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Experience working in the aerospace industry and/or high volume manufacturing industries such as automotive or consumer electronics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
