The Sr. Warehouse Supervisor oversees the Receiving, Staging, Vendor Stockroom and Outbound Shipping areas to ensure a safe, productive and timely flow of material to the plant. Responsibilities include leading and coaching work teams to achieve levels of high performance with emphasis on cGMP compliance. This position will have project management responsibilities and lead Kaizen teams within the warehouse operations.
The Sr. Supervisor is also responsible for investigating material quality concerns to determine root cause, providing corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring proper actions are implemented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise material movement of commodities
from point of entry at the receiving dock through issuance to Production.
Ensure compliance to with all regulatory guidelines. Assure that warehousing operations follow procedures to ensure consistent production of quality products. Assure that all material is stored and shipped in accordance with all applicable guidelines. Assure accurate inventory transactions and proper documentation of those transactions.
Ensure that customer needs are met through timely rework, appropriate shipping schedules and timely customer deliveries.
Initiate and follow through on Validation Change Requests affecting the Warehouse or Stock Locator Inventory Systems.
Train and mentor other supervisors in the department.
Lead special projects related to the warehouse.
Lead and participate in departmental huddles and lead area Lean programs.
Lead area Kaizen teams.
Develop and implement Standard Work Instructions for work area.
Review and revise SOPs as appropriate and submit in Quality portal.
Hire, train, evaluate and develop staff. Promote healthy employee morale.
