Dremio Corporation Senior Staff Software Engineer in Austin, Texas
Own the full cycle of development from inception, design, development, testing, and production. Design and develop Microservices for Authentication, Authorization, Role-Based Access Control, Key Management etc. Work with other engineering teams to provide a unified and consistent security model across Dremio Software and Dremio Cloud Service. Develop Integrations with external Identity and Security Systems (e.g. Identity Providers, Vaults etc). Work with the Security Engineering team to protect the Cloud Service and its users from malicious actors. Scale the Security Services to meet the needs of a growing customer base. Work with containers and Kubernetes for orchestration and container management in private and public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Actively participate in code and design reviews to maintain exceptional quality and deepen your understanding of the system architecture and implementation. Help grow the team by hiring, coaching and developing best practices. May mentor or lead junior team members. May work from home office within commuting distance to Austin office.
The base salary range for this position is $155,709 to $220,000 per year. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidates geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related technical field, and 5 years of experience developing production and enterprise level software using Java, and building integrations with various types of database systems [e.g., RDBMS, Hadoop, NoSQL, Cloud Storage (S3/Azure/GCP)].Experience must include:2 years of experience building Identity and Access Management Systems for Role Based Access Control, SSO, etc.; design/Implementation of ReSTful APIs; and database security infrastructure and protocols.
