Microsoft Corporation Senior Organizational Change Manager in Austin, Texas

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

Microsoft's Cloud Supply Chain organization has an exciting opportunity for you to play a leadership role in driving change for our transformation. The job is an individual contributor role within the Process Engineering and Value Delivery's Project Adoption Readiness Team.

As an experienced Senior Organizational Change Manager with a depth of knowledge in Prosci or similar Organizational Change Management methodology, you will drive behavioral change by owning the planning and execution of change management strategies for Tier 1 transformation programs. You will work with product managers, business leads, and subject matter experts to ensure consistency and efficiencies across the full scope of supply chain transformation and lead a virtual team of cross-functional Change Agents. This will require coordinating across multiple project teams that are driving the development of new end to end supply chain process and technical capabilities to support the growth of Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns leadership with the goals and objectives essential to successful project execution.

  • Conducts thorough Stakeholder and Change Impact Analysis and defines and executes engagement strategies to effectively share information with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manages and implements change management activities (change strategy; planning, stakeholder engagement, change impact, organizational readiness, communications and training, adoption tracking).

  • Provides guidance to team members in the development of change approach.

  • Provides input, documenting requirements and executing the design and delivery of change management training programs.

  • Develop the organization’s depth of supply chain knowledge around processes and best in class technologies.

  • Identifies, analyzes and prepares risk mitigation tactics.

  • Identifies and manages anticipated resistance.

  • Defines adoption success metrics and monitors readiness and adoption progress.

  • Be able to facilitate stakeholder alignment on strategy sessions to document and close gaps in acceptance.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience working in supply chain organizations/projects and/or with SAP implementations.

  • 4+ years of experience with proven track record of successfully managing change initiatives.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with proven track record of successfully managing change initiatives.

  • Experience analyzing the organizational impacts on stakeholders affected by the implementation of new technology, products, processes, or business environments.

  • Experience developing and executing engagement and communication strategies to effectively share information with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Experience developing and executing training plans based on the impact of change on affected stakeholders and identifying plans of action for addressing anticipated responses to the change.

  • Experience measuring the effectiveness of change management activities through the use of adoption metrics, surveys and interviews.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, General Business or related field.

  • Experience with the Prosci ADKAR model for managing individual change.

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
