Robert Half Senior Fund Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Fund Accountant in Austin, Texas. This role is centered around maintaining accurate general ledger activity, producing financial reports, and tracking all capital account and investment activities. The Sr. Accountant will also be instrumental in the timeline of audit progress and the preparation of yearly and quarterly tax with internal and external tax teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate general ledger activity, including preparation and processing of journal entries, intercompany activity, cash, and other balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with monthly and quarterly closing procedures

• Independently produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidated fund financial reports

• Assist with the review of fund admin monthly and quarterly financial reports

• Track all capital account activity, maintain capital account schedules, and generate PCAPs on a quarterly basis

• Independently maintain and track all investment activities the fund transacts

• Track all cash activity for capital calls and distributions

• Calculate, prepare, and request all fund level loan draws and monitor loan due dates and issue paydowns as they come due

• Collaborate closely with Fund Analyst on asset valuation and record quarterly transactions of the same

• Monitor other deal entity activities to ensure accuracy of transactions

• Collaborate with other business units in the organization to document significant transactions

• Actively contribute to assigned special projects designed to enhance processes and procedures across the accounting organization

• Support all requests from external auditors and play an instrumental role in the timeline of the audit progress

• Assist with all yearly and quarterly tax preparation with both internal and external tax teams.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant with a minimum of 3 years in the field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Ability to manage General Ledger and Journal Entries.

• Demonstrable experience in executing Month End Close processes.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
