This opportunity entails being responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and /or diverse projects in the Waco, TX area. The Senior Construction Inspector prepares daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and reviews periodical pay estimates with contractor for accuracy. Also prepares sketches and assembles data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project.

What You'll Do:

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.

• Advises Contractor superintendent of necessary actions to ensure conformance with plan, specs, and contract. Reviews and resolves quantity disputes with contractor.

• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform sophisticated and complicated mathematical calculations, constructability and biddability reviews, and measurements of completed work to date.

• Reviews Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.

• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches

• May lead daily assignments, mentor, and train employees.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 9 years of construction related experience.

• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

What You'll Bring:

• Identifies and resolves complex change conditions.

• Mentors staff and coordinates schedules.

• Identifies and resolves complex field issues with the contractor.

• Experience in roadway construction inspection and reporting.

What We Prefer:

• TXAPA Level 1B Certification

• ACI Field Testing Certification

• TXDOT Environmental Certifications

• Sitemanager Experience

• Ability to work in excess of 40 hrs per week and nights and weekends when necessary

• Work location will be Waco, TX
