UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Research Engineering /Scientist Associate IV, Center for Transportation Research, Cockrell School of Engineering in Austin, Texas
Participate in research activities related to transportation safety and operations.Compile resources and training materials in a manner that best benefits government agencies and communityengagement.Contribute to grant applications, peer-reviewed journal publications, and conference presentations.Work in collaboration with CTR researchers, project sponsors, and subcontractors to ensure all projects are executed on time and on budget.Effectively communicate and work within a team to execute goals and solve problems within the unit or between units.Manage multiple contracts, subcontracts, and budgets, including communications and scheduling meetings.Conduct fiscal year budget planning and monthly expenditure tracking.Support budget development for grant applications and contracts.Coordinate staff assignments across projects.Facilitate hiring for graduate research assistants, research fellows, and visiting scholars.Coordinate the purchase of supplies and reimbursement process.Other duties as needed or assigned
