Research Analyst
Job Description Summary
The Research Analyst is responsible for supporting research output across all commercial real estate sectors and will cover both occupier and investor perspectives. Further, this position will provide direct support to the retail service line function as a portion of its time, which will include creating Powerpoint presentations, supporting written publications, and ad hoc data requests. The Research Analyst is accountable for accurate and proactive maintenance of third-party and proprietary databases, as well as partnering with local research on appropriate data.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Directly support data processes and quarterly reporting for retail service line
Directly support thought leadership initiatives with US Senior Economist for retail service line
Contribute to analysis across all CRE sectors as needs of business and clients evolve
Partner with the Global Think Tank, Property Research Intelligence (Data) Team and Local Research on data or other research initiatives
Provide ongoing support to US Senior Economist for client and industry presentations, business development and pitches
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Statistics, Finance, Real Estate is preferred
2+ years of analytical experience, CRE industry is preferred
Prior CRE knowledge or ability to learn: understanding of the complexities and rules within the CRE industry along with key market metrics and indicators; familiarity with CRE data sources
Experience using Microsoft Powerpoint/Excel and a willingness to develop software programming skills (Eviews, Python, PowerBI, etc.)
Verbal communication/ articulate/ polished: strong oral and written communication skills
Adaptability/change/fast pace: ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage processes in a fast-changing environment
Critical thinking/problem solving: demonstration of good judgement to make appropriate decisions
Team player/collaboration
Accountability/ownership

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $70,805.00 - $83,300.00
