BPL Plasma Regional Field Training Manager in Austin, Texas
Position : Regional Field Training Manager
Location : Austin, TX
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs on-going field visits to review center training documentation to ensure
standardization, best practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices are implemented and
maintained.
- Provides administrative support via the Compliance Wire LMS to ensure Training
Coordinators in the field have the tools they need to efficiently perform all training
tasks in the center.
- Reviews and assists in maintaining the Overdue/Incomplete Training Report,
Performance Observation Matrix, Revision Training documentation, and the Training
Metric numbers for all centers on a weekly basis at minimum.
- Assists with center audit preparation and audit responses, implementation of new systems, and
new center development. Attends and participates in audits representing the training department
as needed.
- Assists the respective Center management in overseeing and coordinating the performance of
the Training Coordinators and Area Experts.
- Collaborates with the Field Training Director, the Operations group, and the Quality group to
ensure that training goals are consistently met within the donor centers.
- Conducts ongoing review of the training program to verify the program effectively
meets the training needs of donor center and the company as a whole.
- Works with Quality Assurance to verify compliance and quality standards are met within
the training program.
- Conducts center training audits utilizing iAuditor and communicates all findings to
company Operations, Quality, and Training Management; and verifies deficiencies are
corrected within 30 days.
- Organizes training teams to assist with area training for centers in need, based on
direction provided by the Field Training Director.
- Works with Center management to conduct necessary additional training or re-training for center
employees as needed.
Assists with training for newly built centers, center conversions, and center acquisitions.
Performs regular field visits to review center procedures ensuring standardization and best
practices are implemented and maintained.
Identifies center weaknesses and communicates this to Training Management.
Provides on-site center support and field training up to 90% of the time.
Establishes an exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and
dependable.
- Participates in scheduled meetings, trainings, and personal and professional
development opportunities.
- Assists the training department with competency reviews for new system or procedural
implementation.
- Other assignments as directed by the Field Training Director
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- B.S. or B.A. degree strongly preferred. Other combinations of education and experience
may be considered.
Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Experience in managing people is preferred.
Knowledge of plasma operations and business processes is preferred.
Highly self-motivated and the ability to motivate others.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift or carry at least 50 lbs.
Be able to travel by plane and/or car to donor centers.
Occupational exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.
Required to stand on a regular basis; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear.
Required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or kneel.
Ability to enter an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
