Amazon Program Manager II, Master Data Management in Austin, Texas

Description

Amazon’s Ops Tech Solutions Supply Chain (OTS-SC) plans, sources, makes and delivers IT equipment necessary to empower YoY multi-billion dollar Amazon’s Worldwide Stores Business. OTS-SC responsibilities include Product Management, Demand and Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation and Replacement and Disposal of IT equipment. Within OTS-SC, the Product Data Management team is responsible for master data management across enterprise systems.

Amazon is seeking a passionate and results-driven Program Manager to join our team, focusing on Enterprise-level Master Data Management (MDM). In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to define, build, and scale the master data infrastructure that ensures data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across Amazon’s global IT operations. As a key contributor to the MDM strategy, you will own end-to-end program lifecycle, driving innovation and delivering data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making across the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the program roadmap for enterprise-level Master Data Management, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term scalability.

  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, and business teams to deliver robust MDM solutions that centralize and maintain accurate, consistent, and actionable master data.

  • Lead the process of data governance, establishing standards, processes, and frameworks for managing master data entities across multiple business domains, including customers, suppliers, products, and financials.

  • Define key metrics for data quality, accuracy, and governance, and work to continuously improve them.

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements, ensure data consistency across systems, and streamline data integration processes to meet the evolving needs of internal teams.

  • Conduct market research and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvements within MDM and related data platforms.

  • Communicate program updates, and ensure smooth adoption of new features by internal teams.

  • Own key customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring quick resolutions and continuous improvement in program performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
