Description and Requirements

As a NA Workstation Channel Account Manager for Lenovo, you’ll be responsible for growing the indirect workstation business in the US in partnership with three of our national partners to drive revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction to achieve assigned quarterly business targets. You will champion the innovative power of Lenovo’s Workstation solutions, making our channel partners more productive, collaborative, and transformative. You will understand Lenovo’s portfolio of award-winning Workstation solutions and develop strategies to help our national partners find and implement the best workstation solutions for end-users. This is a channel sales role requiring deep industry experience, expertise in closing deals, and a broad base of industry contacts.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic selling, acquisition, and account management, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They will demonstrate team-building and leadership abilities and manage multiple complex sales engagements concurrently. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial approach that is imaginative, smart, passionate, and approachable. Channel sales experience is required, and a strong working knowledge of the channel ecosystem, distribution, and industry channel strategies is preferred.

This position will require travel and will cover targeted national channel partners throughout the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategy and set aggressive goals to grow key markets within which we compete for workstation business.

  • Achieve revenue and profitability objectives for Lenovo by driving sales with key Channel Partners.

  • Develop high level relationships (C-level) to serve as a trusted consultant to channel partners.

  • Develop strategies for enhancing channel sales, as well as communicate and understand Total Cost of Ownership and industry trends.

  • Ensure that our customers receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.

  • Build complex sales strategy to ensure both long- and short-term goals, objects and quotas are met.

  • Align with Channel partners to understand end-user requirements and how to deliver successful partnering outcomes.

Basic Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional work experience.

  • 5+ years of successful technology (PC, Workstation, Server) sales experience, strong understanding of Workstation technology.

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous channel sales experience working for or calling on a business partner is preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills required.

  • Must have strong interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrated team building, leadership and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements.

  • Demonstrated track record of top performance with multi-million-dollar quarterly quota.

  • Superior presentation skills.

  • Experience and understanding of workstation market & ecosystem.

  • Solid financial acumen and financial management skills

  • Proven ability to develop strategies and execute against an account plan to drive results.

  • Travel to any or all customer sites when appropriate.
