Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Austin, Texas! This role is in person / onsite. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Four-month contract, opportunity for extension or fulltime offer

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Pay: $22.34 to $24.34 an hour

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

· Medical records requests

· Calling and scheduling Patients

· Calling patients for Medication adherence support and provide education as needed.

· Data mining

· Back Office Heavy

· Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

· High school diploma or GED

· Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment. Medical Assistants who are hired prior to receiving their certification are expected to perform at the same level as a certified Medical Assistant

· Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (written exam and in-person assessment) at time of hire or within 30 days of hire
