Our agency client is looking for a Media Buyer/Planner to start off on a contract-to hire basis. This role will be fulltime hours, hybrid in Austin, and agency background is required. This candidate should be an expert in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and digital strategy.

Media Planner/Buyer

The Media Planner/Buyer will play a key role in developing, negotiating, and executing media strategies across multiple platforms, including TV, radio, print, digital, and outdoor. This individual will be responsible for managing client budgets to ensure the most effective allocation of media spend, while working closely with internal teams, external agencies, and media vendors. Additionally, the role includes monitoring the performance of campaigns, optimizing media plans, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Tools: Proficient use of analytics platforms such as GA4, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics, and PowerBI. Strong expertise in Google Ads, DV360, Campaign Manager 360, Kenshoo/Marin, Facebook Ads, and other digital advertising tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Media Planning & Strategy: Design and implement tailored media plans that meet client objectives across digital, TV, radio, print, and outdoor channels.

  • Negotiation & Media Buying: Negotiate media buys with vendors to ensure maximum value for clients, achieving the best rates and added benefits through placements.

  • Campaign Execution: Manage the execution of media buys, ensuring campaigns are accurately implemented, including the timely submission of materials. Adjust and manage bookings as needed.

  • Performance Tracking & Optimization: Monitor campaign results, analyze performance data, and recommend adjustments to enhance effectiveness. Address any issues with under-delivery through appropriate solutions.

  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media vendors, staying informed of new trends and media opportunities to leverage for clients.

  • Financial Reconciliation: Partner with finance teams to review and reconcile media invoices, resolving any discrepancies that arise.

  • Reporting: Generate detailed reports and post-campaign analysis, using tools such as Nielsen, SQAD, and other media management platforms.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with traffic managers, creative teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of media plans and adherence to deadlines.

    Requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in media planning or buying, either in an agency or in-house setting, with experience across both traditional and digital platforms. Background in performance marketing or media, with a focus on measurable results, is preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or public health sectors is highly valued.

  • Healthcare client experience

  • Googly Analytics, Meta Ads

  • Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with experience in media buying tools like Nielsen, SRDS, and AdViews. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

  • Additional Requirements: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail, and a highly collaborative mindset.
