Amazon Lead Transportation Specialist , Amazon Transportation Services, Linehaul in Austin, Texas

The Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Linehaul team is growing and seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist Lead to assist in ensuring cargo integrity for Amazon Inbound Transportation. As Amazon continues to drive cargo integrity within transportation and logistics, we consistently evaluate our tools and processes and drive improvements through shipper and carrier performance management and internal partnerships. In this role, the Transportation Specialist Lead will assist Inbound Transportation's Cargo Integrity team to create solutions and take actions to ensure that freight arrives to Amazon as scheduled. We are focused on learning, innovating, and are a customer-centric team. We are looking for candidates that have the ability to dive deep in complicated problems and drive resolution to disruptions in the inbound processes. The Transportation Specialist Lead will be able to communicate at a high level, as regular and ongoing communications with Amazon's shippers, carriers, and internal stakeholders will be required to uphold compliance to Amazon's standards.

Key job responsibilities

  • Assist with trailer seal compliance audits for both carriers and selling partners

  • Communicate externally with carriers and selling partners on requirements for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) seals

  • Perform deep dives into unreceived inventory and analyze root causes

  • Other deep-dive procedures under development

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

  • Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements

  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

  • Are 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience

  • 1+ years of management experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with SQL
