This position coordinates, inspects and monitors building maintenance, operations and service activities including grounds maintenance, housekeeping and security in a district or at an Austin area campus. Work requires contact with contractors and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:Assists in negotiation, development, and implementation of service contracts.Performs periodic inspections of buildings and grounds.Coordinates, inspects, and monitors building repairs, operations and service activities (including housekeeping, security and groundskeeping) at one or more sites.Coordinates, inspects, and monitors maintenance of interiors, roofing, flooring and associated heating, ventilating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing systems of buildings including picnic and safety rest area structures.Monitors buildings and systems; performs or coordinates repairs.Performs evaluation and may assist in developing and implementing the preventive maintenance program.Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
