Misumi USA Inventory Station Operator in Austin, Texas

We are seeking a full-time Inventory Station Operator to work onsite for our customer, Tesla, Inc. in their Austin, Texas Gigafactory.  

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Management Station Operator to oversee the daily operations of an advanced inventory management system which includes monitoring inventory station performance, managing inventory levels, tracking and receiving parts and components, and responding to customer needs.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing inventory or technical systems. No formal degree is required; Training will be provided for candidates with strong technical skills and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities include:

  • Operate and maintain 10 inventory stations installed in various departments.

  • Track, receive, and install parts and components inside the inventory stations.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is replenished as needed.

  • Perform daily inventory station checks and troubleshoot any operational issue

  • Respond to Customer Requests and emergencies promptly.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal team to ensure timely delivery of parts.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, usage, and machine performance.

  • Generate reports on inventory station usage and inventory levels.

  • Ensure all inventory stations meet safety and operational standards.

  • Minimal Travel Requirements

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

     

  • 1- 3 years of experience in an inventory management, production, or technical support role is preferred

  • Strong technical aptitude.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word, and basic computer systems).

  • Willingness to learn and be trained in inventory management systems.

  • Physical Ability to walk 3-5 miles daily and stand for extended periods and manage physical tasks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

  • Ability to work independently and handle urgent situations.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with using technical equipment and inventory software (training will be provided).

  • Effective written and conversational skills in English. Spanish is a plus.

  • Experienced in a customer-facing role is a plus.

  • Must live within reasonably close proximity to 78725 to respond to emergency needs.

  • Available to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
