The Role

Lumen is looking for a driven, and analytical Lead Generation II representative to drive the first interaction with prospective Lumen customers and be the key to Lumen’s success. As a Lead Generation II representative, you will help Lumen prospects and customers digitally connect their people, data and applications quickly, securely and effortlessly by understanding their business issues, and demonstrating the unique benefits of solving them with Lumen.

The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, results oriented and a strong communicator. To be successful, this candidate should have the proven ability to communicate effectively, actively listen, maintain rigor, manage relationships, and follow up with stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to contact Lumen prospects and customers in a timely manner, identify and qualify leads and will engage with the customers in the early stages of their journey with Lumen. Ultimately, contributing to our wider Sales team and driving the rhythm of our business.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities

  • Interact with IT decision makers in large enterprise size businesses

  • Understand industry themes, customer priorities, and business positioning

  • Develop a broad understanding of the Lumen portfolio of solutions/products, communicate the value proposition, deliver elevator pitches and key messaging as needed to progress the conversation and improve conversation/meetings percentage

  • Have a BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) qualified discussion

  • Set up a future conversation with the sales team and the prospect based on your efforts

  • Maintain knowledge of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the industry

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$34420 - $45890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$36230 - $48300 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$38040 - $50720 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$39850 - $53130 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
