The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. We are seeking a Global Supply Manager who is passionate and driven to help us achieve this mission. The Global Supply Manager on the CSCP Supply Operations team will be responsible for managing all operations for our global VMI hub.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a reliable supply of raw materials for our system integration partners.

  • Managing materials at our 3PL stocking locations.

  • Driving aggressive inventory turns while maintaining supply targets.

  • Budget management for hub operations. This role will contribute to defining key processes and systems requirements, managing day-to-day interactions with suppliers, providing forecasts, and capturing supply capability information.   • Work with internal teams to drive 3PL and system integrator alignment to supply parts to meet production targets.

  • Manage metrics including days of supply, E&O, shortages within lead time, appropriate space availability and inventory exposure at each supplier to improve performance.

  • Manage operational issues between T2 supplier and hub provider

  • Create & report metrics for hub operations

  • Identify areas for process improvement to reduce Cycle Time

  • Support onboarding new suppliers to Hub

  • Work with Supply Chain and Capacity Planning teams on the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp of new platforms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or similiar field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, supply chain, operations management or engineering.

  • Capable of performing complex data analysis to identify problems or opportunities to improve supply chain performance.

  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and logistics.

  • Proven track record of delivering change, process improvement, and lean manufacturing solutions.

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, including material planning specific software such as Rapid Response by

  • Able to think and plan strategically and execute tasks with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under continual deadline constraints.

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
