Drone Flight Support Assistant
Position: Support Engineer II
Location: Onsite – Austin, Texas
Duration: 8 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Pay Rate: $31/hr.
Work Schedule: “Night shift” - Initially 5 days, 8-hour shifts.
* Part 107 or other aviation certification*
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Support Engineer II to assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop computers, peripherals, software, and related systems. This role involves resolving hardware and software issues, managing user permissions, and performing routine hardware maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, software, and peripherals
• Support Windows XP/7 and Server operating systems in a managed desktop environment
• Provide support for Macintosh OS X (10.4 & later) (preferred)
• Basic troubleshooting of Linux/UNIX (Red Hat preferred) at a user level
• Network troubleshooting, including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Windows Server networking
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining customer focus
• Ensure high standards of service quality and proactive issue resolution
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Maintain detailed documentation and organizational practices
• Safely lift to 50 lbs. as needed
Required Qualifications:
• Base-level aviation knowledge and computer competency
• Part 107 or other aviation certification
• 3-6 years of relevant work experience
• Strong experience working in team environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• Microsoft MCSA/MCSE certification
• Apple ACMT/ACSP and Cisco CCNA certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education/experience
• Aviation-related experience is a strong plus
