The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) serves as the core planning function within CSCP, concentrating on forecasting, capacity/demand planning, and hardware planning for all Microsoft Cloud services and associated hardware. Within MCP, the Compute Server Planning team drives the weekly ordering and S&OE processes to drive optimal fleet capacity aligned with stakeholders across supply chain, finance, data center operations, and engineering groups.
Responsibilities
As a Director, Demand Planning you will support the entire Order-to-Live lifecycle for compute properties, working cross functionally to meet customer needs amidst diverse business priorities and ever-shifting constraints. This is a high visibility role interacting across all levels of the organization with direct impact on Microsoft's success. Responsibilities include:
Own the short term demand plan to deliver optimal fleet capacity.
Detect, prioritize, and mitigate customer risks in tight collaboration with execution partners.
Evolve systems, tools, processes, and policies to support the boave amidst continued hyper-scaling and increasing complexity.
Deliver messaging to stakeholder and leadership on KPI performance and opportunities for improvement.
Support lifecycle management including introduction of new products and EoL decommissioning.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 10+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management with a Supply Chain or Operations field
OR equivalent experience

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance. Or related field AND 6+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering Or Project Management with a Supply Chain Or Operations field OR Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations Or related field AND 8+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics, Engineering,
Or Project Management with a Supply Chain or Operations field.
Or equivalent experience Ability to lead in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships across multiple layers in the organization 3+ years experience in Management Consulting.
Or Cloud / high tech supply chain Expert in business tools (e.g. word, power point), analytical tools (Excel modeling, SQL, etc.), and able to generate quality outputs.
Demand Planning IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
