As a member of the Retail Systems team, you will work to handle, secure and support all Apple Retail devices worldwide. You will help support the development, deployment and support of new tools passionate about MDM for MacOS and iOS platforms as well as supporting applications, tools and infrastructure.

Description

The Retail Device Management team is looking for an excellent MDM Operations Engineer to help support and secure our rapidly growing MDM platform and ensure it is manageable, scalable, and reliable. This role is key in supporting and assisting in the deployment and expansion of systems using MDM as well as the development and maintenance of supporting tools and applications to Retail devices. This is a highly technical hands-on role which requires in-depth technical understanding of software, hardware, networking, and the Internet, taking a comprehensive view of sophisticated systems. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated, can constantly research and suggest the latest technologies, independently solve technical issues, and work with teams of developers, engineering project managers, test engineers, and end users. The candidate will lead by example and believe that teams and not individuals accomplish phenomenal things!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expertise in both macOS and iOS operating systems

  • Detailed experience with scripting; Python and shell strongly preferred

  • Experience with MDM and MDM protocols, focusing on macOS and iOS

  • Expertise with diagnosing and troubleshooting complex OS, network, and application issues

  • Strong troubleshooting ability and comfort/proficient in providing end-user support; can take steps to isolate issues and resolve root cause through investigative analysis

  • Experience in a production support role with an understanding of tools and processes for supporting a large global organization and user base

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth JAMF Pro experience with large scale deployments for macOS and iOS strongly preferred

  • JAMF Pro certification a strong plus

  • Familiarity with continuous delivery systems and GIT; ability to define branching, tagging, and code merging strategies

  • Familiarity with Apple Retail systems and operations a plus

  • Experience managing and troubleshooting peripheral devices (printers, scanners)

  • Detail oriented, able to perform data analysis to uncover trending issues

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communications skills
