Apple is seeking a highly motivated and innovative an outstanding DevOps engineer to join our IS&T Legal & Global Security Solutions Team. In this position, you will join a team of DevOps engineers passionate about automating solutions, securing data and infrastructures, and owning all aspects of our infrastructure to achieve high availability, scalability and reliability.
Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational perfection through automation and engineering processes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of development and operations processes, to deliver outstanding and highly available systems. You will work with the application development teams to understand infrastructure requirements, while promoting efficiency, scalability, security, and reliability throughout the software lifecycle. Your expertise in cloud platforms, automation, and infrastructure management will be crucial to the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing automation for common development and operational tasks - Develop reusable infrastructure as code libraries - Supervising system performance, availability, and remediating as necessary - Collaborating with software, infrastructure, network and storage engineering teams on finding operationally balanced solutions to engineering problems - Designing engineering platforms and tools that simplifies the process of building, deploying, and operating applications
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience in a DevOps role
Experience in setting up infrastructure using one of the technologies such as:Terraform and/or Pulumi
Experience with GitOps-based deployments enabling CI/CD using one of the technologies such as: Jenkins, GitHub-Actions or similar systems
Experience in building CLI tools using one of listed programming languages such as: Python, Go, or Java programming languages
Experience in container orchestration such as Kubernetes or Helm
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Experience in one of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems
Proficiency with operating applications one of the public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
Experience in developing infrastructure and services in public cloud environments (AWS, or GCP)
Strong proficiency with Helm or Kustomize for managing Kubernetes applications and configurations through GitOps practices
Expertise in developing reusable IAC (infrastructure as code) modules using technologies such as: Terraform, AWS-CDK and/or Pulumi
Proficiency with logging and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or similar
Passionate about operational excellence through proper automation and engineering processes using programming languages such as: Go, Python, Java, or other JVM languages
Analytical & problem solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a strong focus on teamwork
