POSITION: DESKTOP SUPPORT

LOCATION: AUSTIN

DURATION: 6 MONTHS

RATE: $25-$30/HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collect hardware.

  • Repurpose or retire equipment.

  • Handle imaging and ticketing tasks.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with hardware, basic triage, diagnostics, and imaging.

  • Ability to manage deployed assets and inventory, maintaining accurate asset records for each user and piece of equipment.

  • Coordinate and perform hardware moves, changes, and exchanges.

  • Provide break/fix support for hardware.

  • Manage and process hardware warranty claims, facilitating repairs with third-party vendors.

  • Document and maintain user requests and incident records in IT systems.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in desktop support or a related field.

  • Proven ability to write procedure manuals, user instructions, business correspondence, and general reports.

  • Knowledge of desktop imaging processes.

  • Solid understanding of desktop hardware components.

  • Strong familiarity with various desktop hardware.

  • Foundational knowledge of warranty processes.
