Raytheon’s Corporate Development team supports RTX’s Raytheon business unit and is responsible for facilitating the implementation of strategy through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Working closely with the broader Raytheon Strategy and Transformation team, the Corporate Development team is a dynamic one that plays a role in major strategic moves.

As a Corporate Development Analyst, you will be provided the opportunity to work across major business functions and the broader RTX organization. Critical collaboration touchpoints include colleagues in strategic planning, finance and legal departments, Corporate Strategy and Development and colleagues in similar roles in affiliated organizations across the company.

In this role you will be handling the preparation of presentation materials (company profiles, subsegment analysis, strategic rationales, Confidential Information Presentations, etc.), valuation work (DCF, LBO, comparables, accretion dilution, etc.), participation in formal buy and sell-side processes (data room preparation / review, aggregating diligence information, synergy analysis) and disentanglement and separation planning.

This strategic highly visible role will involve a combination of qualitative and quantitative work. You will be able to work in a dynamic environment and encourages enthusiasm for helping to shape the future of our organization.

This position can be located at any Raytheon facility or be remote within proximity to a Raytheon facility. Major Raytheon facilities exist in the Los Angeles, Tucson, Boston, Dallas, Huntsville, AL, and Washington, D.C. metropolitan areas.

What You Will Do

  • Support pre-process work (buy and sell-side) by analyzing quantitative data (company financials, market projections) to help develop insights and recommendations and the analysis of internal and external businesses.

  • Participate in divestitures helping determine business parameters, extensive valuation work, potential buyer assessment, market analysis, preparation of marketing material, development, and be responsible for data room administration.

  • Acquisition support will include valuation analysis, market analysis and supporting diligence.

  • Provide various support of strategic initiatives including joint ventures (formation and dissolution).

  • Generate clear and concise written communications to convey findings and recommendations.

  • Conduct primary and secondary research to generate high-quality and actionable conclusions.

  • Interact with Raytheon Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to assess opportunities and implications.

  • Develop and contribute to the constant improvement of research processes, resources, templates and models, and outputs / visuals used by the team.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field.

  • Experience with modeling and valuation skills, particularly related to Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Experience performing financial and strategic analysis of companies drawing from financial statements and publicly available information.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • B.S. in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related subject

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
