Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market are changing retail shopping. You will be part of a team that is developing best in class grocery stores for Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market, shaping the future of retail spaces! This role provides strategic oversight of OFI inventory management and cost control supporting innovation and expansive growth across channels.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to drive enhancements and efficiency for our equipment supply chain. This program manager must be an expert simplifier with experience in transportation, inventory management, and warehousing. They coordinate processes across inventory management, inbound freight, outbound shipments, and warehousing. They leverage their expertise to reduce cost and eliminate dead stock to help the organization scale. They are responsible for identifying issues, defining solutions, and creating processes. This PM works independently to identify, document and communicate solutions. They will foster an environment of continuous improvement and look for ways to simplify and improve field coordination for retail facing projects. Must have expertise in the equipment and materials that support a retail grocery environment
This position works with a team of equipment and construction experts. They are actively engaged in day-to-day operations to identify root causes and improve performance. They interact with third party providers and transportation aggregators.
Key job responsibilities
Assess inventory
Monitor backlogs and prioritize appropriately
Coordinate removal for outdated equipment and materials
Partner with planning teams to determine long term inventory space requirements and strategy
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
• Expert ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
• Expert ability to keep multiple projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
• Experience relying on analytics and data to identify issues, propose solutions, track effectiveness and deliver continual improvement.
• Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering to meet high-reaching goals.
• Knowledge of retail service equipment including refrigeration, custom millwork, commercial kitchen equipment and front of house applications like food bars or service venues.
• Awareness of MEP complexities and finish quality expectations relative to equipment inventory management and accuracy of delivered goods.
Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of construction project management methodologies regarding fixturing, during planning and installation for new builds and improvements in operating stores.
• Experience creating, coordinating, and communicating equipment delivery schedules.
• Advanced knowledge of Blue Beam and/or Adobe Acrobat.
• Proficiency with project management tools including Procore, Smartsheet and MS Project
