PCSI Compensation Analyst in Austin, Texas

Description

PCSI is looking for a Compensation Analyst to join the People Team! The Compensation Analyst gathers and assesses job duties information and salary survey data to prepare and maintain compensation plans. This role communicates heavily with Operations and senior leadership when conducting job analysis and salary market research for new contract proposals and routine benchmarking. The Compensation Analyst may also support the Human Resources function more generally with projects related to budget, compliance audits, and employee survey data.

This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in south Austin, TX.

Benefits Include:

  • Base pay of up to $85,000-$90,000 depending upon experience.

  • Annual bonus of up to 8%.

  • 21 days of PTO per year, in addition to all federal holidays.

  • Medical, dental, vision, and other coverage: employer contribution offered to cover employee-only tier.

  • 401k plan with matching on contributions up to 6%.

What You'll Do as Compensation Analyst:

  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.

  • Interviews and surveys employees and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.

  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.

  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.

  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.

  • Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.

  • Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.

  • Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.

  • Conducts data and cost analyses to be used in employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned such as budget forecasting and monitoring, owns and maintains compensation surveys.

  • Work interdepartmentally to pull inside salary related functions.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.

  • SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a compensation analyst required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.

  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.

Other Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.

  • May need to have the ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
