Google Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure Manager, Google Cloud in Austin, Texas

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience working in consulting or client facing roles delivering cloud solutions.

  • 10 years of experience leading global or distributed teams, developing team members, managers, and technical leads.

  • 8 years of experience managing channel partners, systems integrators, and third-party developers to deliver solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.

  • Experience reading software code in one or more languages (e.g., Java, Javascript, and Python).

  • Experience working in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Experience with Kubernetes or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

  • Experience in systems design with the ability to build or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs, and methods available.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

As the Cloud Platforms and Infrastructure (CPI) Manager, you will be a key member of the North American Professional Services Leadership team responsible for setting and execution of strategy. You will lead a team of developers and consultants that works directly with Google’s customers to help them transform their businesses. You will work with customer executives, key technical leaders to deploy solutions via Google Cloud, and oversee relationships with key Google partners currently servicing accounts in order to manage programs, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance/best practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Manage, expand, and scale a team of consultants and cloud developers.

  • Understand customer needs and design a Google Professional Services Organization (PSO) strategy.

  • Partner with customer technical leads, executives, and partners to deliver successful cloud migrations and solutions.

  • Create programs and maintain relationships with key partners to translate complex customer requirements into recommendations for solution architectures and achieve scalable impact.

  • Influence and contribute to Google Cloud’s long-term product strategy.
