Provides overall strategy and management support to the implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program with an emphasis on major gifts. Looking to increase the number of $100,000+ submitted proposals each year to individuals and institutions and secures meetings with individual prospects and foundation leadership.Increase face-to-face visits with donors/prospective donors each year. Expand the number of qualified major gift donors/prospective donors in the CDOs portfolio. Focus on $1M to $10M projects for the LBJ School.Assists the Dean and other university leadership in all aspects of the University of Texas at Austin, What Starts Here, comprehensive campaign activity including, but not limited to: project management, prospect management, strategic planning, named gift opportunities, and volunteer management. In consultation with the dean, develops, and executes the overarching strategy for the schools individual giving program with a particular focus on major gifts.Work with the Executive Director for Foundation Relationsand his/her staff to build and maintain strategic engagements with foundations. Serve as the LBJ School's lead in foundation relationships, identification of potential collaborations/opportunities available with foundations, facilitation of LBJ community (Dean, Executive Director for Foundation Relations, LBJ School Centers and individual faculty) to develop fundraising strategies for the foundation sector that translate into successful foundation proposals and identify.Provides guidance to and manages the Associate Director of Development with the goal of achieving individual and school goals and initiatives (class reunions) while concurrently addressing professional growth needs and opportunities for the staff.Supervises employees in the areas of annual giving, major giving, alumni relations and administration within the LBJ School's office of development. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.Develops a protocol for effective communication, identification of funding needs, utilization of faculty/staff in prospect management, proposal development and other related development activities.Increase fundraising partnerships with other CSUs across campus.Other related duties as assigned.
