Emerson ADG CCS Solution Delivery Lead in Austin, Texas

ADG CCS Solution Delivery Lead is accountable for developing and iterating processes and workflows for successful design, build and delivery of sophisticated integrated test, measurement, or automation systems to our customers! They spend most of their time planning, implementing and supervising engineering processes for projects, with strong emphasis on efficiency and quality management. They are deeply involved in all aspects of the project workflow such as design, procurement, build and assembly, ensuring their accountability for the business and technical success of the solution. The successful Delivery Lead is efficiency-driven, looking for ways to improve workflows, processes and tools without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.

Organization

The Delivery Lead will be a part of a highly experienced, customer facing team and lead the workflows, processes and tools for design, procurement, build and delivery of integrated test systems for some of NI’s largest customers. They are instrumental in helping the team evolve and expand by creating and refining tools and processes for improving the design, build and assembly of systems, therefore, experience communicating with various customers and clients from sole contributor to Executive across multiple disciplines - Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Vendors will be valued. Their ability to quickly build credibility and trust for effective collaboration towards mutual outcomes will drive success.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Ensure ownership and accountability for process alignment and continuous improvement that shows meaning and benefit to users.

  • Work closely with customers to support and participate in collecting feedback, coaching, process onboarding, and training for consistency.

  • Generate and monitor KPIs to objectively drive and measure impacts to the business.

  • Drive generation of significant insights through collection, reporting, and analysis of trusted and complete project and resource data. Partner with Operations and Finance leaders to harmonize processes, tools, and reporting.

  • Focus teams on creating repeatable and standardized outputs.

  • Share insights with customers and enable data driven decisions.

  • Drive process and tool improvement efforts through successful lessons learned activities that result in appropriate design and build process or tool changes.

  • Lead initiatives to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.

  • Be passionate about continuous improvement.

  • Lead and give direction to other design, build and delivery team members. Ensure alignment to design and build processes and best practices.

  • Review work quality and provide mentorship to other CCS team members. Act as a domain expert in one or more key areas, such as engineering design, operations, build/assembly, quality or tool/process expertise.

  • Support project plans that drive successful on time delivery of high quality systems.

  • Ensure processes and workflows are well understood by team members.

  • Work with project teams to understand the challenges and feedback to iterate a work breakdown structure and routinely reassess as needed.

  • Actively handle risks to identify changes and mitigation strategies.

  • Act as the Strong Connector between Build and Design teams.

  • Support Project teams in their build communication plans and ensure execution to the build plan, resulting in professional and consistent communication with the customers.

  • Support project build reviews that ensure key customers are presented with accurate and concise information to make decisions. Ensure

  • Project workflow is based on NI processes for NI MFG (MVDB), ESA BOM management, Shipping & packaging, Safety scheduling & logistics.

  • Influence others to ensure successful delivery.

  • Frequently collaborate with other departments such as procurement, manufacturing, operations, quality, ESA and vendors.

  • Lead with influence to ensure the success of project workflows and set the stage for future success by building scalable and sustainable workflows.

  • Develop a sense of urgency in customers while also building high quality workflows.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A minimum of at least 8 years’ experience leading and advising engineering system builds and operations.

  • Experience in leading sophisticated project builds with strong planning skills, attention to detail and high quality.

  • Experience in leading development and delivery of NI Platform-based systems and solutions through NI MFG processes.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven system build and planning skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and work optimally with delivery teams

  • US Citizen and ability to qualify for DoD Clearances

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Previous exposure to National Instruments hardware and software, first-hand experience using them is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of system build and delivery concepts such as planning, risk management, operations and quality control preferred
