Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks, including processing complex 1099's, auditing easement agreements, and handling purchase order procedures. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and requires a strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and a background in 1099 processing.

Responsibilities:

• Audit and process complex 1099 forms and Right Away easement agreements

• Accurately report on lost profit/revenue for damaged land purchases and restore it to its original state

• Process and convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders

• Maintain and update data in Excel sheets for loading into NetSuite

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on the status of the account

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Use ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and Accounting Software Systems for account coding and accrual accounting

• Ensure all responsibilities are carried out in line with deadlines. Requirements • Must have a solid understanding of Account Coding

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential

• Must have a strong foundation in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is necessary

• Prior experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Form 1099

• Experience with IRS W-9 Forms is preferred

• Must have experience in handling Purchase Orders

• Ability to Process Purchase Requisitions

• Familiarity with Purchase Requisitions

• Proficiency in NetSuite is desirable

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary
