SR. COST ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – MANUFACTURING – DAYS - AUSTIN PLANT

This office hourly position, along with eight other Accounting Specialists, reports to Brady Kiefer, Cost Accountant.

The work schedule for this position is Monday – Friday, with overtime as needed to fulfill job responsibilities. The daily hours will vary depending on the respective areas being covered. Limited flex time is available. This position is not eligible for a work from home or telecommuting arrangement.

RESPONSIBILITIES: This office hourly position is responsible for covering various manufacturing departments in completing accounting production practices, along with analytical support in meeting plant & company initiatives. The person in this position:

• Is responsible for reviewing and entering production activity on a daily basis for the Annex in a timely and accurate manner. This includes daily analysis of operations at the Annex.

• Is responsible for reviewing and analyzing the daily inventory reconciliation between AS400 and QAD to verify accuracy of production reporting and inventories for the Annex.

• Responsible for creating and setting up new items for the Annex utilizing AS400, QAD and Master item.

• Complete daily exception reporting for the Annex. This includes analyzing daily cots to explain material differences.

• Manages the weekly FG cycle count activity for the Austin Plant.

• Manages weekly Annex supply cycle counts.

• Must have the ability to work at a fast pace, handling multiple departments and their associated accounting activities simultaneously.

• Must be willing to proactively seek information from operations management, shipping, and other functional groups and perform research within the data systems (AS400, QAD, etc.) to help complete daily tasks.

• Performs other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Two-year accounting degree or the equivalent accounting experience

• Strong proficiency with a PC, Windows and MS Excel

• Possess strong critical thinking skills to make informed decisions based on analysis

• Ability to learn new systems and business concepts

• Strong verbal communication and time management skills

Preferred

• Experience with QAD, AS/400 Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC), Oracle Cloud Financial, and Mainframe systems.
