Job Title: Freight Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Freight Clerk. As a Freight Clerk, you will be responsible for processing, auditing, validating, and voucher for payment of all bills and expenses related to transportation and warehousing. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour and follows a Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week schedule. Additionally, once trained and trust is established, you will have the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.

Job Specifications:

Job Type: Contract (6 months with possible extension)

Location: Austin, MN

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (7am-4pm or 8am-5pm)

Work from home on Fridays after trained and trust is established

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Process, audit, validate, and voucher for payment all bills and expenses related to transportation, warehousing, drayage, and cartage of products

• Input and maintain accurate database entries in applications software for the payment process

• Handle documents and information regarding freight and warehouse bills

• Assist in miscellaneous related activities as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

• High school education or equivalent

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with personal computers and word processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes

• Ability to accurately enter data at a rate of 6,000 kph

• Ability to use custom computer programs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to take initiative and work independently

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize work effectively

Preferred:

• Previous Blue Yonder experience
