What You Will Be Doing:

As a Power Rental Coordinator you will serve as a customer service representative for Power Rental. This position will handle both walk in and over the phone customer requests for their power rental needs. You will assist customers with setting up rental accounts, negotiating rental rates, developing the rental contracts and scheduling transportation for the rented equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answers customer inquiries on a walk-in or call-in basis

  • Uses effective communication skills to promote and sell products and services

  • Successfully negotiates rental rates and pricing to achieve desired market share and profitability

  • Dispatches drivers

  • Handles customer complaints successfully in a professional manner

  • Adheres to all customer care standards

  • Actively cares and advocates safety at Yancey Bros Co

  • Works within Cat Dealer Network to locate and re-rent fleet to meet customer needs

  • Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization

  • Coordinates maintenance and repairs as necessary for the rental fleet assets

  • Ensures that all customer damage is properly charged to the responsible customer

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.

  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

To be successful in this position you should have a strong desire to help people, be organized and able to follow set processes. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required

  • Knowledge or ability to learn Rental software and Sales Link

  • Acceptable driving record required

  • Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing and interpersonal relationship building

  • Ability to set and manage priorities

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work without supervision

  • Consistent attendance

  • Proven customer service skills, sales experience and professional telephone manner required

  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English)

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting

  • Able to work after hours and weekends as required to support customers during storms

  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Course work from accredited trade school, college or university

  • Thorough knowledge of the use and operation of generators, air compressors and air conditioners

  • Prior experience in the rental equipment industry
