Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision. Key duties include:

• Adherence to mill safety policies and active participation in safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement programs like Lean Manufacturing and 5S.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, hydraulic jacks, gear pullers, drills, and precision instruments like micrometers and laser alignment devices.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment using advanced troubleshooting techniques, including root cause analysis.

• Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and lubrication systems.

• Perform pipe fitting with knowledge of temperature effects, insulation, and maintenance.

• Execute welding, soldering, and brazing operations safely, with skills in arc-welding and other techniques.

• Safely operate slings, cranes, and rigging equipment.

• Manage inventories of maintenance materials and supplies, and conduct regular equipment inspections, including lift trucks.

• High School Diploma or GED

• Minimum 4-6 years' experience

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time
