Columbia Helicopters Inc. Flight Ops Administrator in Aurora, Oregon

Description

Information and logistics specialist, responsible to the Director of Flight Operations and Chief Pilot. Schedule, track and facilitate transportation for pilots and cabin crewmembers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Coordinate and communicate schedules for pilots and other Flight Ops assigned field personnel

  • Monitor and track compliance with all Flight and Duty time regulations. Adjust schedules, as necessary

  • Coordinate activities with Travel, HR, Overseas Processing and Flight Ops Training departments

  • Clerical tasks assigned by Director of Flight Ops, Chief Pilot or Asst. Chief Pilot

  • Keep Chief and Assistant Chiefs apprised of all pertinent information coming in from the field

  • Verify pilot qualifications are current before Scheduling. Monitor for expiration during Assignment

  • Process Pilot applications for customers, annually and as necessary for new projects

  • Maintain currency of CHI Operations Exemptions and Authorizations – such as NAFTA and CH-47D Exemptions

  • Accountability for Aviation Life Support Equipment – such as Life Vests, Flight Suits, and hoist equipment

  • Assist with coordination of overseas Ferry Flights. Coordinate with 3rd Party Agencies

  • Other tasks, as assigned by the Director of Flight Ops and Chief Pilot

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years’ experience required in a challenging office/administrative environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels both internal and external to the company

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

  • Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn customized computer programs

  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values

  • Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person
