Job Description Summary

This role is part of the MR Path to Leadership Initiative. The Global Coils Senior Program Manager is responsible for the management of multi-site, multi-product, large scale, projects, programs, and initiatives with short and long-term strategic vision. Works across multiple, cross-functional areas to build a culture of continuous quality, standardization, and productivity improvement. Accountable for direct contribution and team actions to coordinate, collaborate, and drive project planning, implementation processes, documentation, resource coordination, risk and opportunity analysis with proactive issue resolution, through milestone hand-off and delivery to approved business case goals. Results of this role’s responsibilities have a significant impact to GEHC customer experience, MR Coils organization cultural health, and Imaging business profitability.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Proficiently manage the complexities associated with large, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, and communicate effectively with executive-level staff.

  • Serve as the “face” of assigned programs and projects, interacting with executive leadership to communicate results, status, risks/issues and mitigation strategies

  • A job at this level can be individual contributor or have direct report team responsibilities, with proven interpersonal skills. Provides informal guidance and positive influenceto new team members and can articulate complex information.

  • Lead the definition and optimization of Global Coils footprint strategy for Imaging MR manufacturing, sourcing and go to market.

  • Embed Lean principles into transformation execution management. Define key process indicators (KPIs) and cascade to cross-functional teams and owners. Launch problem-solving reports (PSRs) to address gaps in KPIs.

  • Proactively Identifying trends adverse to action plans; cascade these trends to root causes with proposed solutions; develop and vet business cases for these solutions. Gain project approvals and funding; shepherd projects and their functional owners to successful completion, with validated customer and product benefits.

  • Lead, mentor and coach the organization in process excellence.

  • Drive simplification and innovation to deliver maximum benefit/resource tradeoffs across projects & programs, while building and fostering a culture of continuous reliability & productivity improvement.

  • The role operates with high degree of autonomy and empowered decision-making responsibility. Strong balance with focus on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require senior level professional judgment with minimal required guidance.

  • Leverages technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years experience in large scale Project and/or Program mgmt. Or mix of Operational, Engineering, Sourcing, and/or Service experiences acceptable.

  • Experience leading large cross-functional teams to achieve business goalswith proven success in project management.

  • Exceptional skills as a change agent, influencer, and process excellence leader.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate with employee andcustomers at all levels.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or master's degree in technical field.

  • Strong mix of technical and business acumen, with experience in product engineering and/or supply chain.

  • Experience in a complex program management environment, including large and small projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues within functional area and/or area of expertise.

  • Active certification in PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent proven capability

  • Experience in healthcare industry with relevant domain knowledge

Travel: 15-20%-if in Aurora, OH area, 50% if in Waukesha, WI area
