Aston Carter Human Resources Generalist in Aurora, Ohio
Job Title: HR Generalist
Responsibilities
Assists in Administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Respond to internal and External HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
Support audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommend corrective action.
Perform Orientations and Onboarding
Assists with processing of terminations.
Assists with payroll. Paylocity Experience would be great.
Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
Assists with HR Projects, like employee parties and employee feedback surveys.
Support the recruitment/ Hiring process by sourcing candidates, initial phone screen, and tracking process through Paylocity.
Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
Coordinate training sessions and seminars
Assist in reviewing, revising safety policies and safety training.
Files documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
Prepares new-employee files.
Processes mail
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Working knowledge of Paylocity is a plus.
Some travel required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
minimum of 3+ years of human resources experience required
payroll processing experience required
onboarding experience required
Paylocity experience is a plus
Work Environment
This position will work 100% onsite at our Aurora location. This role does require occasional travel a few times a year.
