Job Description Summary

As an Electronic Equipment Technician (Electronic Maintenance), you will lead projects, regarding design and develop fixed and collaborative automation systems to help increase the productivity of the manufacturing operations and eliminate non-value added work for MR RF Coil product lines. You are part of our new product introduction projects (NPI’s) to influence product design to incorporate design for automation standards so flexible and smart-cost solutions are part of initial production release of the product. You are working on the interface between manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering and research and development with fairly complex products. This is a hands-on role that enables you to keep your hands on the project from design through build, to production launch.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Help identify high ROI applications; help design and conduct feasibility of the application and support the local team to deploy the automation into production

  • Apply creative solutions and ideas, driving productivity and quality in the manufacturing of our products utilizing LEAN methodology, novel fixturing, key automation technologies like collaborative robots, AI, AIV’s, traditional automation techniques, integration of PLC’s, HMI’s, Motion

  • Manufacture the solutions using machining equipment and collaborate machine builds with vendors.

  • Support our Brilliant Factory initiatives by connecting the physical processes with digital information

  • Create standard automation Equipment/User Requirement Specifications to drive component standardization, data standards for brilliant factories, and standard safety risk assessments

  • Leverage and project manage outside suppliers to deliver automation solutions in our manufacturing plant which can set a standard as well for other ultrasound manufacturing plants

  • Project Management responsibility; leading a project team in a matrix organization.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Technical education in the field of automation technology, electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, computer sciences or similar.Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree plus 2 years of experience or High School Diploma and 4 years of experience

  • Knowledge in software development for automation technology (PLC, HMI - using high-level languages, e.g. ST, C).

  • Proven CNC Machinist / General Machinist Skills

  • Experience with controls, electrical schematics and panel builds

  • Seasoned mechanical & electrical design experience using CAD and 3D software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo

  • Experience with additive manufacturing and 3D printing of parts and fixtures

  • Experience with equipment repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
